Sri N.C. Murthy has composed New Varnams in 72 Melakartas which are considered the foundation for the music of any country. These compositions are a turning point in Classical Music in that they give an easy insight into the 72 melakartas in a simple manner and help get a grip over these ragas which are being performed rarely and by only a few musicians. Practicing these varnams can help master these ragas and paves way for becoming a complete musician.

My mission is to help the students of Music to help master these 72 melas which were considered difficult.
Specialties: First to compose Pada varnams in the % Ghana Ragas. Already conducted a Workshop to teach these.
First to compose Varnams & Tillanas In Swarantara ragas containing only 4 swaras.
Composed Nine special Keertanas on Devi Kamalamba and published under the title "Devi Murthy Nava Sudha Deepthi".
Composed over 100 keertanas in the known and established ragas and published under the title "Nutana Sata Keertana Swaravali".
Composed about 100 keertanas in the Ragas in which no compositions are made by any of the earlier composers which are being published under the title "Apurva Raga Kruti Manjari ".
Thyagarajaswamy created about 100 ragas in which he has made one or two compositions. No other composer made any contribution after that. As a result, these ragas are being considered as "small ragas" which do not have any scope. I have composed keertanas in all these ragas to show the scope available for developing these ragas.
